🚀 More Than Just a Number: Understand Your True Influence

Engagement rate is the single most important metric for measuring content quality and audience connection. Unlike views or subscriber counts, it reveals how actively your followers interact with your content—and it's a key signal that algorithms use to decide who gets discovered.

That's exactly why we built the Creator Engagement Rate Analyzer.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about how this engagement rate calculator works.

What is a good YouTube engagement rate?

By default we measure (likes + comments) relative to this video's view count. As a rough guide, about 1.5–4%+ can be solid depending on niche and format; our Excellent / Average / Below Average badge uses those view-based tiers. You can also switch to “By subscribers” in the results to see the same interactions relative to channel subscriber count—benchmarks do not apply to that mode.

How do you calculate engagement rate?

For YouTube we show two rates: (1) Default — (likes + comments) ÷ this video's views × 100, rounded to two decimals; this is what the benchmark badge uses. (2) Optional — (likes + comments) ÷ channel subscribers × 100; this can exceed 100% when many viewers engage without subscribing. Stats come from the YouTube Data API. When TikTok and Instagram Reels are supported, shares and saves will follow each platform's norms.

Why is engagement rate important?

Engagement shows how actively your audience responds to content—often a stronger signal of connection than raw views alone. It helps you judge content quality, compare videos fairly, and is useful for brands vetting creators.

Do I need to log in or pay?
